AURA Absolute Matte Lip Cream | Swatches - #1

I own a lot of AURA products, and the more i try the more i fall in love with this brand. Their products are absolutely amazing. I have a lot of lipsticks, blush, highlighter, nail polishes, and because they're all so good, i had to try their newest products, which are these matte lip creams.
They are basically liquid lipsticks that become matte after applying on the lips.
This range has 13 colors. For now, i only picked two, because i didn't know what to expect, but now that i know i am definitely going back for more.
I chose #610 Vivid Feel and #612 Matte Mess.
As you can see, they're insanely pigmented and they're very light, you don't feel like you have any product on your lips, long-lasting, and also the smell is nice and sweet, not overpowering.
I am officially in love with this brand and i feel like i'm gonna blog about their products a lot in the future.

Until Soon.

January Favorites: Avon

I know January isn't over yet, but i've been using these products almost every day for the past month.
I really like Avon products, because first of all, as you all know, the ordering is very easy - you're chilling at home, browsing through the brochure, instead of going out, especially in winter - the weather is awful here and i don't go out very often, unless i really have to be somewhere.
Also, i find the quality of their products pretty satisfying.
And last but not least they are very affordable and available all over the world.

Lipstick: Ultra Colour - Max Mocha - I've been searching for the perfect brown lipstick for a few months, and i couldn't find the right shade, until i saw this one, and i love it.
It's pure brown color, it doesn't have red or purple undertones, it's simply brown.
With it's dark color and hydrating formula - it's the perfect lipstick for winter.

Perfumes: Little Black Dress & Instinct Forbidden
I think Little Black Dress is the most popular perfume by Avon and i believe that most of you are familiar with it. It's a strong winter scent, but not overpowering. Long lasting.
Instinct Forbidden it's actually pretty fruity and light, and it's more appropriate for spring or summer, but i like fruity and light scents no matter which season it is, and it's been my daytime perfume for the past two months.
It has only one flaw - it's not long lasting at all.

Eyebrow Kit - it contains color and eyebrow wax for shaping your eyebrows. At first i didn't know hot to use it properly, it was a messy process, because the little brush it's fine for the wax but not so fine for when you're applying the color, since it's powdery and the bristles of the brush are very hard and sharp. Now i use different brush, and the problem is solved.

Planet Spa - Peel Off Face Mask - Egyptian Secrets - I love all the products from the Planet Spa range, and this face mask is not an exception. It's nice for the skin and i also find it very fun to use.

Luxe Matte Foundation - I never order foundations from a brochure, because you can choose the wrong shade, and i'm also faithful to my Rimmel London Wake me up foundation. However, i needed a creamy foundation for contouring, preferably a darker shade and long lasting. So when i saw this one i felt like it's gonna be just what i'm looking for. It's perfect for contouring, but i wouldn't use it on the whole face because it's too matte for my skin type. If you have greasy skin and you're in a search for an affordable, not too heavy foundation, you should try this one.

Hope you like this post!

Until Soon.

23rd Birthday!

My birthday was yesterday, January 10th, and i spent the whole day with friends, family and my boyfriend. I had a great time and got the cutest presents ever.
Now that i'm looking at these photos i see a pattern - purple ( and pink ).
Since purple it's my favorite color, i guess everyone knows me too well :)
Now that my birthday's over, i have to go back to reality and study for exams.
Ah, well...

Until Soon.

Zombie!

I absolutely love costumes where i can combine my love for everything horror related and my love for makeup.
Some of you may know, we don't celebrate Halloween in here, but in my town there's a tradition - the night before Orthodox Christmas the whole town wears costumes, kids go trick-or-treating and there are few bigger costume parties happening, and because is similar to Halloween i get very excited about it every year.
I wanted ti be a zombie bride, but i also wanted to wear black dress, so i combined the two and i guess i turned out to be zombie goth bride.
I made the wound using PVA glue, because i didn't have liquid latex, tissue paper, red face color and fake blood. I guess you can use any other glue that's not bad for your skin, in case you're out of liquid latex like me, or you're allergic to it.
Note: You can make the fake blood at home, using red food coloring, chocolate syrup and gelatin.
You can keep the remaining mixture in the fridge and you can re-use it, by reheating it.
I'm in love with this look, and i enjoyed creating it, and that's why i want to continue doing looks like this - i wouldn't call them tutorials, but more like ideas and tips for costumes.
Hope you like it as much as i do! :)

Until Soon.

Smoothie

Long time ago i wrote a recipe post http://octobergraves.blogspot.com/2014/05/recipe-1-berry-crumble.html and then i said that i'm gonna be doing posts like that, and that every recipe that will be posted here, will be featured on the other blog as well, but since that other cooking blog didn't work out for various reasons, all of my cooking posts will be shared only here.

We are all familiar with smoothies, and i know there's no need for a strict recipe, since you can use any fruit you like, but this one is my current favorite for winter, so i figured i would share as an idea.
The ingredients are basic, you'll need:

  • 2 smaller bananas or 1 normal size
  • 2 kiwis
  • 2 tangerines
  • 1 orange
  • pinch of cinnamon

Chop up the bananas and the kiwis, and squeeze the orange and the tangerine.
I add freshly squuezed juice instead of whole pieces of tangerine and orange, because the texture is smoother.
Add the cinnamon, and then blend it all up, and you're done.
If you're not a cinnamon lover, like myself, don't worry, you can barely taste it, but it's healthy, so you don't lose anything by adding cinnamon.

Until Soon.
