Espresso Brownies

You'll need:

  • 80 gr butter
  • 250 gr dark chocolate
  • 130 gr sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 gr all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp espresso

  1. Preheat the oven to 170'C.
  2. Melt the butter and the chocolate on low temperature.
  3. Add the espresso in the melted chocolate.
  4. Add the sugar before the eggs, so that the temperature of the melted chocolate gets cooler and it won't cook your eggs.
  5. Then, add the eggs while mixing the batter, and finally add the flour and the cocoa powder.
  6. Mix the batter until it gets smooth and lump-free.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the surface of the brownies starts to crack.
Enjoy!

Until Soon.

AURA Absolute Matte Lip Cream | Swatches - #2

This post is just a color swatch, because i did a review of these lipsticks in my previous post. You can read it here: #1 - http://octobergraves.blogspot.com/2015/01/aura-absolute-matte-lip-cream-swatches-1.html
Colors included in this post are #603 "Sooner or later", and #609 " Candy Pick".
I'm especially obsessed with #609, it's such a lovely baby pink shade, and i've been wearing it for weeks.
#603 it's a gorgeous bright brick red shade, and it's great for night-time makeup.
I love these matte lip creams, i own 4 shades, and i think it's enough, i've picked the colors i liked the best, and i think i'm done with buying them... for now. :)

(Healthy) Valentine's Day Truffles

You'll need:

  • 200 gr pitted dates
  • 100 dark chocolate
  • 50 gr dried coconut
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 5 tbsp softened coconut oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

All you have to do is finely chop the dates and the chocolate and then mix everything together, or mix everything at once in a food processor.
If the mixture looks crumbly it's because the dates were dry, and you can add little bit more coconut oil.
That's why it's best if you use freshly dried dates with pits that you've removed, because using dates that were already pitted the mixture will be too dry.
But, even if the mixture looks too crumbly, the dates are naturally sticky so when you start shaping the small balls, everything will come together nicely.
If you want original truffles, then roll the balls in cocoa powder only, but because it's Valentine's day, it's okay to be creative and use heart-shaped sprinkles, coconut, or anything you like to make thing more romantic and cute.
This is the basic recipe which it's vegetarian and healthy, but if you're not a fan of dark chocolate, you can use milk chocolate or melted butter instead of coconut oil, it should work fine.
I hope this post will help you in some way & give you and idea for Valentine's day, or just an idea for healthy recipe to have in mind.

Until Soon.
