Makeup Essentials Update

Few days ago i realized that some of my products that i use on a daily basis are almost used up, so i went on a mini haul and bought these few products, which are basically essentials. I went on a limb with these products, because i haven't used some of them before and i didn't even read any reviews, i just wen't out and bought them. I love Rimmel London products, so i figured i'd love this foundation as well. I will try to do a review of the products i haven't tried before, so it's gonna be something like a "first impression" post. I hope that they won't fail me, since i'm so excited to try 'em out. And if you're wondering why i didn't play safe and didn't buy products that i've previously used, honestly, i got kinda bored and i just felt like trying out new things - with the exception of the pressed powder and the eye shadow base.
That's it for now, i didn't plan to write anything, this post was just meant to be an update of my makeup collection and a few photos that i took of these new goodies that some of you might find helpful if you want to try something new but you have no idea what it is that you want a.k.a. "i'm bored and i'm gonna browse through blogs and makeup/beauty photos". :)

Until Soon.

FOTD

This post isn't meant to be anything serious, it's actually just a "celebration" of my recently purchased tripod.
Some of you may know the struggle of not having a tripod and having someone else take your pictures, or improvising by putting your camera on top of some various items so that you'll be able to take a photo.
And me personally, i don't like someone else to take photos of me for the blog, i want to be in charge of what's going on behind the lens, because that's my comfort zone, being behind the lens, having control of the concept of the photo etc.
So, i woke up early this morning, did my makeup ( which is definitely not for daytime, too heavy, too much of everything, but fine for photoshoots ) and i took a few photos, with the help of Mr. Tripod himself.
And that's about as deep as it gets, the photos are self explanatory, i'll list the products i've used if you're interested and that is it. Now, i'f you'll excuse me, i have some packing to do, i'm going on a short vacation, and hopefully i'll be back with enough photos for more posts.
And i just realized this is the first time i'm revealing my face on the blog, after so many years, so... my face says Hi! :)

Smokey Eyes Set #010 Smoking Area - Catrice Cosmetics

As you can tell by the photos, the colors in this set are very basic, and they contain 4 different shades - shimmery white, metallic grey, shimmery dark grey and black color, which is a creamy eye shadow, and it's basically a gel eyeliner.
Because of the fact that this set has not only eye shadows, but a gel eyeliner as well, it is the perfect palette for traveling, because you have everything you need in one little box.
The packaging is also very practical because it has an applicator and an eyeliner brush, which you don't have to use if you don't want to, of course, but it is very practical if you're out of your standard make up brushes. I know when i'm traveling somewhere i don't like to bring all of my make up brushes, and that's why i find applicators so helpful.
I am very satisfied pigmentation wise, because you do get a great result and an intense color with just one layer of eye shadow. The first two colors are pretty sheer, but with an eye shadow base, you'll get a great result.
The formula is also very satisfying, they are very creamy and easy to apply.
All in all, a great product, and great for those of you who love shimmer. Unfortunately if you're into matte eye shadows, this one is definitely not for you.
